HSWG #3 recap (plus minor Script Frenzy promo)!

So it was last Saturday (as always) and this time, we’ve got Maya coming by to meet us! She’s actually a nanowrimo-er too! Anywhooo, a little recap goes like this:

  • We’re gonna have something for the Singapore Writers’ Festival.
  • Gosh, darn. We’re hoping to finish and confirm things by early June so the NAC people can put it in their programme. We have a list but we want to make it neat for them.
  • Nerwen and me fangirled over Maya’s book, The Undercover Tai Tai because it is awesome and why are you not reading it yet? It’s funny, chic lit and well… FUN.
  • It always rains the day we have meetings at Geek Terminal.
  • Oh and we got our copies autographed by Maya since she was there.

Yayness! Okay, the place was really dark somewhat but in any case, I like autographed copies of books! See, in HSWG, you’ll never know who’s going to pop up! Okay… So we do know because I get emailed if anyone wants to come, STILL! It was fun talking to Maya because oh yesssss, the feeling is fun when explaining one’s experience for Nanowrimo or chic lit (for me that is since the others talk on fantasy/sci-fi/drama/etc… We ARE a varied bunch of genre writing people).

That’s it for last weekend’s HSWG… Besides the lot of us twittering of needing more seats…

And now for something completely different!

Oh right! Script Frenzy! It happens in April. Your municipal liaisons for Singapore is moi and Raven Silvers. 100 pages in script format in one month! We won’t have write-ins like in Nanowrimo because it’s pretty new and there’s not too many people around. We will have a TGIO party or at least a TGIO tea party of sorts at the end and I’ll give the stickers out from the Light and Letters Office whenever they get it mailed to me within the next few weeks.
