I was going to my Nanowrimo<\/a> write-in when I saw this sign at the entrance of the Arts House.<\/p>\n

Free admission.<\/p>\n

The Singapore Teddy Bear Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yeaaah, right as if I wasn’t going to go up for a look see before I started my writing.<\/p>\n

So after dumping my bag at the cafe with the other wrimos, I decided to go up! Amusingly, the sign said no video or photography but everyone in there was doing it sooo, WHAT THE HECK EH?<\/p>\n

WARNING: A LOT OF TEDDY BEAR PICTURES UNDER THE CUT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This particular lady costs around a few hundred dollars! Understandably of course since the quality and craftsmanship is beautiful.<\/p>\n

The guy manning the booth of D’Lyell Bears<\/a>. A lot of people took pictures of the bears, have a look see at their own website if it catches your fancy though! They’re really pretty.<\/p>\n

She agrees that you should visit their website indeed.<\/p>\n

There were many styles of bears and from different countries that day. A pity that it was only ONE day though.<\/p>\n

I wanted to adopt a softie but I had a lack of monies. OH WELL. Anywho, they’re done by The Little Arts Academy<\/a> in Singapore! LOOK AT THOSE THINGS, I like ridiculous floppy cute things. PLUS, some of them look like cats. Or cat bear things. You know, it just makes you happy looking at it?<\/p>\n

Bears by Mark Rodrigues. I actually like these designs. Reminds me of Alaskan stories for some reason even those Alaska has polar bears than brown bears. But those native American bear stories with tribes!<\/p>\n

This one looks soooo sweet. Okay, I’m just gonna post pictures now since I don’t want to comment on every single thing.<\/p>\n

Bears by Mie Kondo of Heso-Kuma from Japan, they had crystals in them symbolizing luck etc etc. Panda, pandaaaa!!<\/p>\n

The polar bear looking at me, he reminded me of Gromer from the book Biophilia<\/a>. Only if, you know, Gromer was less grumpy and didn’t need to kill any zombie creature thingies or looked younger.<\/p>\n

Folk story-ish classic bears. You can see bears in those gnome hats and mushrooms on the right side. Hard for me to read the text but these should<\/em> be saying it’s done by Fabian Wong. If you guys know and I misread, comment me!<\/p>\n

KITTIES by Rosalie Frischmann of Mill Creek Creations<\/a>. I looked through their catalogue. They actually can make a duplicate soft toy version of your pet!<\/p>\n

Of course other things were sold, I’ve never seen Dollcena-s before. That one there was a Woody from Toy Story and the other, well, I forgot where it was from. Haaaa. They were selling material to make bears too!

It was only when I was resizing this pic that I realized that the bear looked familiar. I was<\/em> taking a pic focusing on the one in the jacket but now I just noticed it’s the one on the poster! Or at least a similar one!<\/p>\n

Isaac Kong and Pamela Theng of moob International<\/a>. The bears are cute and OH OH!<\/p>\n

These looked psychedelic fun! I took a pamphlet from their booth. Apparently there are teddy bear making classes at Spotlight. The next dates are 16th and 23rd November or 7th December and 21st December for the classes. $80 for 2 classes and you need to pay $50 for the bear starter kit, materials are included!<\/p>\n

Class is for teens or adults only and one can contact Alicia at pawshere.aq@pacific.net.sg<\/a> to ask or register. AUGH, I HAVE THINGS ON BOTH DATES.<\/p>\n

Oh well maybe next time.<\/p>\n

In any case, I BOUGHT A BAG FROM MOOB!<\/p>\n

The back and front! Well, back and front from whichever you take back and front is. No, don’t be silly I didn’t buy 2 bags for myself. I like cloth bags but not THAT much. The other one’s for my friend. I’m keeping it to send it to her for Christmas! She likes bears a lot.<\/p>\n

Heh.<\/p>\n
