Duck Vaders aka #NE10C05<\/strong> are students from CHIJ St Nicholas Girls\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 School.<\/h2>\n

They are not ducks, nor are they invaders.<\/p>\n

They are:<\/p>\n

Rebekah Seow, Goh Kerrianne , Christabelle Kam Rui Ting and Lim Yean Lyi<\/p>\n

And they are awesome girls. YEAH!<\/p>\n

\"Green<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s NEMation time again and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m ambassadoring two teams, both happen to be from CHIJ and well, let me tell you more about Duck Vaders.<\/p>\n

This is their first time animating and working with a green screen, so now they have learned how high resolution a 4k camera is and why makeup is totally needed.<\/p>\n

\"Rapping\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Their concept is rap, recorded and performed by themselves and for all the animation to happen around them.<\/p>\n

\"Cutting\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So far, none of them have paper cuts on their fingers and that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s great because they have a lot<\/em> of cast and sets to make.<\/p>\n

Part one, they had to record the song and have themselves recorded.<\/p>\n

Part two, they have to do the actual animating part now.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s some of the multiracial cast. Hey\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s that over there? Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s take a closer look at the NS guy.<\/p>\n

\"Close<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 in coloured pencils?!<\/p>\n

I asked them and it takes 4 hours to manually colour the digital uniform for NS army guys now.<\/p>\n

And they have two army guys to make in total\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n

MAJOR HAND CRAMP MATERIAL.<\/p>\n

\"So<\/a><\/p>\n

Rebekah finds this guy the handsomest of all their paper cast because he has awesome hair.<\/p>\n

He kind of reminds me of a broody Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.<\/p>\n

\"Angel\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sort of, right??<\/p>\n

\"Camera<\/a><\/p>\n

Stop motion with all the paper cut outs is so going to take a lot of time. Here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s their set up with the camera mounted above.<\/p>\n

So if you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know how it works, they have to manually take a picture frame by frame and then from there, it gets animated when it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all put together.<\/p>\n

\"Debrief\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Week one for Duck Vaders and they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re on schedule. Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hope they continue being on schedule.<\/p>\n
