The World of Studio Ghibli is at The ArtScience Museum from 4 October 2024 to 2 February 2025. Firstly, remember to buy your ticket from ArtScience Museum<\/a> itself or where the ticketing page might lead you to Klook if you don’t have an MBS membership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be timeslots available so do pick one and don’t be late for your session since it’s a pretty popular exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The World of Studio Ghibli starts from Basement 2 and continues to level 3 but you can just go either direction since you would have your tickets on your phone (or if you printed it somehow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just know that the gift shop is only at level 3 and that’s the “last” place you will go out from that’s super dangerous since it has so much merchandise that I didn’t see some items available in Ghibli museum or shops in Japan somehow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They brought in the ‘practical’ but pretty things in Singapore also, there’s Singapore exclusive designs like a batik\/Ghibli skirt. Like thanks… I ended up buying the exclusive poster with the actual ArtScience Museum illustrated so that it looked like it was in the same universe with the characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, I enjoyed the whole exhibition. I’ve gone to the Ghibli Museum in Japan, and the shops there but Singapore gives you a different experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For one thing, you can take pictures in the ArtScience Museum, but don’t use flash photography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can’t do that in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, there’s a bunch of photo spots where you need someone else to help take a picture of you and there’s one<\/em> spot where it’s for 2 people in one shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of it are recreations of scenes in the various movies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thirdly, the various scenes are all in English for us! It’s all translated for us so that’s really neat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re not allowed to touch the props though, but they’re really nice to look up close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I find it really interesting how they did some sections because it’s really innovative with the way how they position or use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to take a picture of the credits or acknowledgements cause if you’re one of the team who made it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want you guys to know that I really was impressed on how you did that “mirror” part. It really did give that feeling. And everything else there including the garden Howl gave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
