For those who have followed my instagram has seen me review hospital porridge food and also were wondering why am I even in there.
I will say, the porridge is totally delicious that it made me wonder how the chef cooked it. The whole menu was really good. There was even a collab with Eu Yan Sang for their herbal jelly dessert.
But you’re not here to know the food reviews.
My insurance gave me a complimentary check up every year and I took it. I will firstly like to recommend Modern Muslim Finance (click their bio link or link tree and book a call with Afiq). Anyway I paid my premiums and all YEARSSS ago and it was via Afiq who told me what was useful (he’s not under certain ‘brands’, so he can recommend a mix of anything that’s more suited to you).
Well, the start of the year I went for my check up and the doctor was all “Ok, how about we do the thyroid ultrasound” cause I was going hmm which option should I pick cause it was a fancy ass clinic that I liked.
And that’s where it started.
I mean everything else was dandy but they were concerned about what they saw in the ultrasound that they referred me to a specific Thyroid clinic.
While the first checkup was complimentary the other parts I had to pay myself so HNGHGHGHGHG.
At this point I will tell you to contribute to my Throne Account for my Calliope Mori Jersey if you would like to just contribute instead of giving me flowers or fruit baskets or whatever. Because you know this isn’t the end of the story.
So I did a fine needle biopsy which is basically a fine needle stuck into my neck as they took samples to send off to the laboratory. All I thought was “Wow, I can use this as material for a story” or something to describe a vampire or a Buffy fanfic, who knows. It wasn’t that hurting but it was quite a sensation.
BECAUSE HELLAURRRR it’s a NEEDLE INTO YOUR NECK.
The doc did ask if I wanted anesthetic first (cause he was obligated to warn me) but then he said that’s one needle injection for this fine needle biopsy and I was like, “Yeah, that sounds stupid, let’s just go and do this, it’s ok”.
If there’s nothing in the samples, then fine. If there’s something, then maledictions.
Look, if you’ve seen my pictures of me in the hospital you know it wasn’t nothing.
They had suspicions and did another le sigh ultrasound during that fine needle biopsy to make sure it was done in the correct place. Samples sent off, results are back and indeed, there was a nodule or growth on my right thyroid.
The doctor scheduled me immediatement for surgery (which thankfully most of it is covered by my insurance). FYI the medical staff double checked the insurance part for me on this and were all glad that I had it too.
Still, I wondered, would it have been easier to just not go for surgery when the world is suck and come on, you’ve seen the news. On the other hand, if it wasn’t me, I’d tell myself to just freaking pay the monies cause I can earn the monies back eventually and I still have some plotlines to go through with Xtian (this is why you better watch my wrestling matches).
The so called “smaller” scans and consultations, I had to pay myself and that wasn’t cheap.
Is it worth paying to live?
Well, you guys tell me at the next pro-wrestling show if it is.
Because the first surgery was removal of the right thyroid and the doctor said he’d remove any extra growth over there if he saw it.
The main point is to also send samples to the lab from whatever the growth and nodules are to make sure that was the end of that.
Now, I know I stated on instagram I’d update in an upcoming Monday post from that week but I didn’t because there was a continuation.
And on hindsight as I healed from that first surgery, no wonder sometimes I felt I was getting choked out or something.
Anywho, the results came back and then the doc said it was thyroid cancer stage 1.
I was and still am chill because it’s like typical gacha to me. If you haven’t known me for long, you should know my luck goes into extremes. So this is no biggie. It means you’ll see me in something wilder if I have thyroid cancer stage 1.
You don’t have to google, I can just tell you what it means.
It means it has a very high chance of recovery as long as I got it out. It didn’t puncture into the other muscles, bloodstream or bone. So that’s why it’s chill. However, the gacha luck is you don’t know if it would. But you know it DID affect the thyroid.
And that’s why the doctor is all, let’s just remove the left side too instead of just leaving it alone… Though I guess, it would be mad to just leave it alone?
Honestly, I know you all would be screaming at me to just get it done instead of the alternative which is like an undetonated bomb, you don’t know if it will just get triggered.

Going into the MRI for a MAKE SURE NOTHING ELSE is affected scan was interesting. I mean, everything is interesting but they stick a needle into your hand to inject the liquid marker for them to capture things into the scan.
It was at least twenty minutes (I can’t remember how long) of just being chill inside the machine and they had a nice soundtrack while I was thinking, are the headphones made of any metal, how does it all work?
Yes, I had to pay for that myself. Hence I was like, IS IT WORTH LIVINGGGGG IF I GOTTA PAY TO LIVE??
Which brings me to now. This post is scheduled to go on while I’m in another surgery to remove the left side thyroid and hopefully that is it. Maybe I’ll do a post on it after in the following Monday or two Mondays away.
I also googled, who else had thyroid cancer and it’s Sofia Vergara so this is probably a hot girl problem. And ok, some other actor dude from Singapore.
Yes, the timeline is ridiculous for those who watch my shows. But you know me, this is just going to be another Sarah thing.
