The stuff:
- Closing date for receipt of all entries is 12 midnight Singapore time on January 31, 2009.
- The Short List of 3 entries will be published on the Marshall Cavendish and National Arts Council website on February 14, 2009.
- The winner will be announced on February 28, 2009.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• We are only considering contemporary fiction, written with a predominantly female audience in mind from Asian perspective.
• Please send us 1 chapter of your manuscript, along with 1000 words synopsis of the story. Please also include a cover letter about yourself, including any other publishing or writing experience.

Okay, my thoughts on it? LE CRAP! I HAVE NO FULL MANUSCRIPT DONE. But it looks like it’s okay, they just want one chapter and a summary of what happens. The scary thing is if one wins it, you got to at least FINISH the manuscript and that’s the freaky deaky thing. What if there are writer blocks and stuff and etc?! WE CAN NEVER KNOW. But in any case, it’s so SO tempting. I shall convene with my friends to see if I should join… Heck, we all know I’m full of chic litery.
