In which we did it for SCIENCE!

CSI: The Experience Singapore will end on the 20th February 2011 at the Science Centre thus we decided to bust in there like investigators and the Nancy Drews were are! Also, for an adult it costs $20 but if you did a package where you get to go to the main Science Centre, it’s $21. I urge you to buy that one. MEANWHILE, we paid $16.80 each! HAH! There’s discounts if you’re a Passion Card member AND if you are a Starhub mobile subscriber.

So no pictures allowed in the main area but before that, you can have a picture taken with your friends. It’s $15 a piece and $20 for 2 if I remember right. I remembered there were six of us and we paid just $10 each anyway cause it looked really good as if you were a cast member of the CSI series. Meanwhile, the area is quite small and HAH! We managed to finish all three cases and ONE bonus one by noon before the crowd came in.

Case 4 is based on a real crime scene in Singapore. You solve it on your own to submit your answers online. Your ticket is your agent number so don’t lose your ticket if you want to join the competition for case 4!

Also if you’ve ever played Phoenix Wright on the NDS, it’s like that. Only in real life. Might I add, the place is really small? Cool but small.

Nearby the CSI area is the Youth Olympics Games cauldron! There’s a time frame when the Science Centre people will come along and light it up for people to see and it is pretty hot if you get near it since the vents are there. The area where the cauldron is, is where the exhibits about fire and combustion are!

And so we went to the main permanent exhibits of the Science Centre! It’s fun. Like an educational playground where you can press everything and do stuff!

It’s a very big place and there’s so much to see and play or do in the various sections of the centre.

We went to the DNA learning lab, the marine alcove, the sound area and much more!

The section about sound is pretty fun and noisy, heh heh. You get to make tons of noise there while learning how frequencies affect things.

There’s climate change and the environment too. The way the exhibits and gadgets are displayed, it’s pretty interesting on whoever designed it the way it is because it’s just really THAT GOOD. I like how you can touch ICE in the middle of nowhere or play with tornadoes and stuff.

If you like science fiction stuff and speculative sorts, head on to the iSpace area. I do wonder who owns the collection of Star Trek, Star Wars and all sorts of special edition figurines are there though because they are rather expensive.

A FOREST OF DATAAAA. Really, the iSpace area is cool. The Mars exhibit is still being set up though so perhaps another trip to the Science Centre is needed! So that was fun. You might not even get to finish the whole centre in one day if you want to go through everything. We didn’t go to the second level of the main building.

On a different note, the McDonald’s there is one of the coolest where they have a collection of really old and REALLY limited edition and now sought after Happy Meal toys through the decades. Also, it shows us that older Happy Meal toys are much larger in the past than now. Gee.
