Because I am tired and there was a lot of events on Saturday. Have a mini teaser of Race the Dead.
On a related note, anyone joining Commando Challenge SG?

It was like Hollywood, but not since it was near Mustafa Centre yesterday. I was there with the company to do a multi-cam coverage for it. The professionals would do the camera work and vision mixing, I was there to help out with anything else.
And there was quite a bit of anything else.
Every time my non-Malay friends are invited to a Malay wedding, they are surprised that you don’t have to give that much in the money packet and they also sometimes have no idea how to give or what the protocol to eat the food there is like.
This is your mini guide to attending Malay weddings.
So, you got invited to a Malay wedding eh? You know the address, date and have replied that you’re coming. What next?
Tune into State of Sarah, every Thursdays only on Seriously Sarah. That’s what it would sound like if this was on a TV channel.
But it’s not.
So there. You have to use your imagination for the voice over.
Unlike my Monday posts on adventures around Singapore or Extended Edition which is like an extra supplement to the Monday posts or general extra things, State of Sarah is going to be about me (GASSSSSP!).
This is a blog after all. So if you’re missing reading blogs that aren’t advertorials or lists, this is it for Thursdays, Singapore time.
State of Sarah because SoS so ahhhhhhhh help me or something.
Last week, Love Out Loud Asia emailed me and I was like “Huuuuuuuuuh”. But it intrigued me cause their news release wasn’t as spammy as the others and they actually did email me to my correct email and with the right NAME.
Plus, they wrote in why they sent this “We came across your site, and felt that you’d be a great partner to work with!“.
Ok lor.
Before I begin, in the email they did say that if I feature them, I’d get a $10 e-voucher from Dressabelle and a chance to win a pair of Korean MusicWave tickets.
I think… If you’ve read my blog long enough, you should know that this post is not gonna be about getting those things. Haaaaaaaa.
In fact, when I told this to my friends, they were intrigued on what this LOLA thing is so, mainly I guess they were right when they emailed me.
Was busy on Saturday and no adventures… Well sort of. I did do stuff. Instead here, on Sunday I collected my Race the Dead pack. I wanted to pick it up on Saturday evening but good grief, the queue was long.
It was so much faster to pick up on Sunday morning so I guess they managed to streamline things?
Click to enlargen the poster! Or you can download it here. The Nanowrimo Kick-Off party will be at the possibility room (level 5) of the central library on the 26th October! Don’t forget to actually sign up in the main Nanowrimo website though. The RSVP thread will be out in October.
What do we do at kick-offs? We have intro to Nano, quizzes, fun and stickers.
If you don’t know how to get to the fifth floor of the central library. You can take a lift, that’s just a video of me taking the escalator and trying to get up there as fast as possible. Starts at 6pm to 8pm but generally for those who have been to the parties know the ‘main’ part of it ends around 7pm and the rest is the major mingling and cake time.
And if you’re not Nanowrimo-ing… JOIN THE ZOMBIE WALK!
It’s on the same day but different time! REGISTER here.

3 weeks ago, after my gym training in the evening, I went to Tampines NTUC to buy ingredients for my lunches and stopped in front of the meat section. There was a new brand that I noticed.
Amongst the other Halal meat products, I paused in front of a pack of sausages with diamond patterns upon its label.

There were so many activities happening on the 7th September of 2013. Like, whyyyy. Why was everything happening on that Saturday? Like the launch of the Malay Language Month (Bulan Bahasa), Let’s Play (an analogue gaming convention), open house of Goodman Arts centre with various workshops and exhibitions… Well that wasn’t the only ones but yeah EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING that day.
I managed to get to Ken Liu’s 2pm-3.30pm session about science fiction at the national library. Spoiler alert: It ended around 4pm because people wanted to know MORE. So it tells you how good it was.
