The Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition 2009 was held at the Arts House. I visited it just one week before the run of it ended in Singapore.
Okay.
It’s been quiet. I’ve actually got a bunch of posts. Such as the NERF 2009 Tournament, The Time Traveler’s Wife movie, The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition and much more (big fat hint, check the Singapore Writers Festival website to see who are coming down).
So UUUUUUUUGH.
Okay, I’ll just do the fastest post without videos included first.

THAT! See that? That’s the cover of one of the two books at our Nanowrimo Kick Off party/book launch on the 31st October. The details?
Location: Earshot Cafe, The Arts House
Date and time: 31st October, 2pm-4pm
Dress code: Under Cover
Items to bring: Tupperware (if you wanna bring home cake)
I am number 48 in line with 22 books in circulation for The Time Traveler’s Wife.
Ugh.
Guess I’m not the only one who wanted to read the book before watching the movie.

I attended the “Awakening the Writer in You: A workshop with Robert Shearman” by the Singapore Writers Festival people! I noticed it when they were updating their twitter about this!
So here. Another one of those free stories that don’t fit in any where because it’s too weird.
I wrote this for a class assignment and can clearly remember it being done at least seven or so years ago. We had to write a fable sort of story then. Thus, I give you this…

Bang, bang! Or close enough. It’s not a saloon where you lounge through, clinking the spurs of your boots as you sit down by the bar while eyeing the fastest gunmen around. It’s the Story Saloon organized by the Arts House, in partnership by The Book Council, venue supporter by Timbre and is totally a programme of the Singapore international storytelling fest!
What a mouthful but I figured to type it out since I cropped out the actual web poster with their logos.
WHEN is it?
Every first Tuesday at Timbre at The Arts House, 9pm!
Also, it’s FREE.
As usual, click to read the rest of the details if interested!
I was searching online for instructions on these but I couldn’t find any that was relatively easy to do or was not an actual working popgun. Thus, I decided to do a tutorial here since some others asked me how to do this. If you’re interested in making cosplay props, read on.

What you need:
Have a free story!
Considering it doesn’t fit in any current book anthologies, is pretty much chic lit (but not Asian, so I can’t send it somewhere) and a waste if I didn’t put it up to be read…
So yes, I wrote this quite a long while back. It doesn’t fit any of the current genres to submit to and was more like a prelude if I wanted to continue it into a full length novel. Meh, I cleaned it up a tiny bit but it’s still rough. If you’re bored, feel free to read it.
By the way, yes you can actually buy the plots of land. You’d be called a laird or lady though. Being a princess is totally fiction which this story is.

Actual Open Trolley does not look like this.
Okay, like, I was surprised some people didn’t know what Open Trolley was but then I realized that I haven’t actually told what it was specifically except in real life to people.
I call it my alternate universe Amazon.
WHY?
Because it’s basically got all the books online except that IT IS IN SGD AND THE SHIPPING IS LOCAAAAAL! ARRGH. Yes! You know those hard to get books that you wanna buy in the US/elsewhere because it’s not stocked at Kinokuniya/Borders/Popular/etc?
It’s here.

Just in case anyone’s curious on how I blog, I decide to detail my process on it!
Firstly, as you might see this is foremost a literary blog… but apparently it has my adventures on it. GUESS WHY!
That’s cause in between writing stories and such, well it’s good material, non? I can describe things like how one jumps off a building and swings along on a piece of rope or whatever. These events and adventures are pretty cool and it’s good to know how they work. Like research before you write!
Plus, it’s freaking cool to do things that your characters might do.
Secondly, others might want to know it too! So that’s why I blog. I blog for those who can’t do it because they’re not here or they can’t because they’re unable to for some reason. Or heck mostly for those who want to know.
I like to write events on how it is so that my friends and those who wanted to be there can read it like they’re there or at least generally know what happened.
Okay, now the process on how I do it!
