We went over to Jo’s place because her granny was making kueh baulu the traditional way. Yes, with coals and a charcoal stove thing as you can see above! Chinese New Year’s next month and thus, they’re baking kueh.
The first SG Handmade Movement!
Fort Canning green. That’s where the first Handmade Movement Singapore would be held on the 19th January 2013.
It didn’t stop raining.
And it’s… N.E.mation! 7

Guys, do you remember N.E.mation! from last year? If you could recall, I WENT TO THE USA with the winning team. It’s back again this year and the 10 teams’ Animation Clips are all ready to be voted. This year’s theme is “Together We Overcome” as you can plainly see on their logo. YOSH!! TEAMWORK. Togetherness! Wooo!
Each team in N.E.mation! has worked hard for us to finally watch it. The best you can do is watch and vote for them.
Plus… you can win prizes JUST by voting!
It’s Pantry Magic not Pant…
It’s Chinatown! And it’s all decked out to prepare for Chinese New Year. I was there because I was going to Pantry Magic.
Have a break!
We had a break. Sometimes you need to have a mini break where you can eat pizza or burgers or candy stuff at someone’s house and play video games. That is what we did.
Also, I guess we really did eat a lot of kit kats from Japan! Strawberry, blueberry cheesecake, green tea and wasabi.
In other words, this is like a filler episode post.
Sarah Does… COMIC FIESTA 2012!
This time the Adventure Crew wasn’t in Singapore. We had a trip to Kuala Lumpur for Comic Fiesta last weekend on 22 and 23 Dec! Technically we set off on 21st with Aeroline. It’s really fancy since they do have ‘in flight’ food (their tagline is: The Convenient Way to Fly).
It’s about a 5 hour bus ride and it was really that good. They even had in flight entertainment and ooh, I got hot chocolate too besides our meal.
We need YOU to build the Library@Orchard
I totally saw it first. Minus the press the day before since they are press. Also minus the people who are building this. BUT YES! I got to attend the Library@Orchard preview.
Dragon, wake up!
We’re helping to wake the Dragon up in 2013. You can know more about it on their wordpress here or their Facebook. Once there were at least 20 Dragon Kilns in Singapore, now there are two. And this one will be gone so we’re going to wake the Dragon up before it leaves us forever…
At the moment there are still workshops for YOU (no experience needed) to contribute to this project since they want at least 3000 pieces to fill the dragon and to fire it up. You can even have a private session, as long as you contact them with a small group of friends or people interested to do it with you.
AND THUS, The Adventure Crew managed to get into the slot at the National Museum of Singapore on Saturday afternoon. It’s $15 per person or $25 for adult with child, just check which workshop you want to attend since it might have different prices for different locations if they have drinks provided etc etc.
Diamond in the Sky
Astro SG had a talk at Toa Payoh Library in the evening. We managed to listen to the talk and it WAS awesome!
So TGIO!
We got to host the Thank Goodness It’s Over party at the central library’s multipurpose room. It was to start at 6.45pm but people were early as always.
